Who I Serve
I offer individual therapy to adults who identify as women. I have a particular interest in supporting women who are recovering from trauma and loss, and I frequently support women who struggle with unregulated moods, excessive anxiety, problematic relationships, or unhelpful perfectionism.

I work from a feminist perspective. I would describe myself as generally body and sex positive, and as an ally of women who identify as LGBTQIA2S+.
My Approach
I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist who has been working, teaching, and volunteering in social services for over 20 years. I have spent the last 15 years working in outpatient mental health settings and I frequently update my clinical skills and training. I would describe my approach as eclectic, meaning I tend to use specific components of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness, and/or skills development in my daily work.

Authenticity, integrity, and transparency are very important to me. I take pride in cultivating an environment that allows you to experience non-judgmental acceptance and safety. My goal is that our sessions feel genuine and informal, yet they are effective and knowledge-driven. Over time you can expect 'homework' to keep momentum between our sessions.

l'm ready to use humour, energy, and warmth to customize an integrated and supportive approach that brings you closer to contentment and peace, and likely results in increased insight, self-compassion, and skills as well.
